Setting out from Waymoot, the party ventured into the King’s Forest to tackle their first contract: retrieving royal honey and a live larval queen from a giant beehive. Utilizing a smoke strategy created by Merrit Thistlewick to pacify the swarm, the group entered the ravine and faced off against aggressive soldier bees. Despite Rose being knocked unconscious by a critical sting before being swiftly revived by Cinovas’s divine magic the companions defeated the bees.

Deep within the hive, the party encountered soldier bees and through a more cautious approach came out on top, securing 20 jars and an iron pot of royal honey along with the live larval queen submerged in royal jelly transported via barrel. Merrit Thistlewick also recovered a deceased adventurer’s bronze badge, which he later turned in at the Adventurers Guild to be honoured on the wall of fallen heroes. For their success, the party earned a massive 740 gold pay-out.

That evening at The Old Man inn, Merrit Thistlewick used his share of gold to equip the entire group with essential adventuring gear. before resting and re-suppling, the party had intended to head out next to speak with Farmer Grolicer about the contract involving missing farm equipment and a stallion, though the distance may change their plans.
