Quirrell is a retired hero and renowned weaponsmith residing in the town of Espar. He lives with his wife and their young daughter, Cicely. Known across the region for his craftsmanship, he has notably forged custom blades for the leadership of the Purple Dragon Knights.

Quirrell is a six-and-a-half-foot-tall, gruff-looking man with the heavy musculature of a smith visible beneath his shirt. He is described as being built “like an absolute brick shithouse.”
His forge and home in Espar are identifiable by having the largest chimney in town.

Quirrell previously lived as an adventurer or hero before retiring from active adventuring and settling down in Espar as a blacksmith.
Over time, he established a formidable reputation as a master weaponsmith, earning prestigious commissions such as crafting weapons for the leadership of the Purple Dragon Knights.
After retiring from adventuring, Quirrell built a quiet life in Espar alongside his wife and their young daughter, Cicely.
Interactions with the Party
Rescue of Cicely: Following a goblin ambush on the road to Espar, the party rescued Quirrell’s toddler daughter, Cicely, from the goblin camp and accompanied his injured wife back toward town.
Reunion with His Family: Quirrell waited anxiously at the edge of Espar, supporting his injured wife. Upon seeing Cicely returned safely, he swept his wife up in a bridal carry, tears of relief in his eyes.
Rewarding the Party: Overwhelmed with gratitude for the safe return of his family, Quirrell offered the party free lodging at his home for the night and complimentary smithing work.
Hobgoblin Half-Plate: When asked to resize a captured hobgoblin’s half-plate armour, Quirrell explained that he is primarily a weaponsmith rather than an armour smith. He nevertheless offered to write a letter of introduction to a friend who specializes in armour.
Returning Home: After speaking with the party, Quirrell carried his family home.
